Are my eyes deceiving me? Mara and Allison have been reading the last two days. Yesterday and again today, they are reading. At least 30 minutes a piece. They got books and brought them into the living room and read.. WOW!!! I better not make a big deal of it or this will be the last of it, LOL

Today we got Demaree all signed up for The Milan Institute for the Cosmotology course, she passed her test, and I passed my financial application. LOL I was really hoping I wouldn’t, because then most of the loan would be on Demaree. She has some Pell grant, but most of it is her student loan and then our parent loan. She has to pay her portion starting 6 months after she graduates (in 13 months) and then we have to start paying ours back in about 4 months. So I’m happy for her, but also stressed… we really can’t afford
I’ve decided to FORCE a Reading Day on Mara and Allison, LOL They need it, it will keep them busy. It’s simple. Every Thursday we will go to our local library and check out books, when we get home, 2 hours has to be spent reading those books. Then after that, they can go swim, watch movies, play video games, whatever, just not bug me!! lol I think this is a start seeing each summer I don’t make them read at all. I do think vacation means VACATION: time off, rest, relaxing, enjoy the summer doing KID things, doing NOTHING
It seems a bit harder this summer to keep up with everything.. I know summer vacation for the girls has just started but uggggghhhh, I don’t know if I can do it all. I need an assistant!!! I really am trying to balance everything.. I have 9 blog designs to do, my tag list, my girls, laundry, house, cooking, cleaning, along with kids who want to come over, people to visit…. I’m going to have a nervous breakdown!! lol CALGON, TAKE ME AWAY!!! Is that the way to spell Calgon?
Here are a few photos of Martin getting the yard ready and the pool up.. Mara, Allison and my neice Sara waiting on the pool.. Here we go… Just add water and kids… it took all day to fill…
